Lesson learned!

“Lesson learned!” Easier said than done. It requires behaviour change. Sometimes it feels more difficult than nuclear fission.

I am in the behavioural change and performance improvement business. This is not only a job for me this is where I learn and share how “lessons learned” turn into real life change.

Developing metacognition about my own journey helped me do my job better(also made my life better).

“How can I be better, do better, and feel better?” This is a question I have asked myself almost every day for as long as I can remember. It became a motto for my work. It started as a survival mechanism I developed as a child to deal with what was happening around me.

Somehow, I knew there had to be a better way, and something I could do. That hope helped me get through very difficult years, and it still guides me today.

Along the way, I discovered the endless field of personal and professional development. When my manager sent me to a communication skills training at my first job, I felt like I had discovered sacred wisdom. I had just graduated as an engineer. I knew about the effects of earth’s magnetic fields, but I didn’t know people could actually learn how to communicate.I was hooked.

Since then, I haven’t stopped learning; tools, theories, models, discoveries… all in service of one thing:

How can we intentionally design growth? Help people transform?

Not just understand it. Not just talk about it. But turn insight into behaviour.

My journey of hope brought me here.
And I know there are many people out there who need hope, and many who want to turn their own lessons into impact.

If you care deeply about helping people be better, do better, and feel better. To help them to really learn those lessons… this work is personal!

For me, it always has been.

How can I help?
