Are you hearing them too? Are they louder than ever this summer? This is the first time I saw a Cicada.

Cicadas spend at least two years of their lives underground, only to emerge for a brief 4 to 6 weeks above ground, making sure everyone hears them from August through September. These creatures remind me of some of us.

Many people feel like they spend most of their lives preparing for something—sometimes not even knowing what that something is. Then, one day, they complete their own metamorphosis and step into the world. Once they find their purpose, even with the little time they might have, they become vocal, eager to share their wisdom before they leave this world. They pour all their energy into being heard, serving others, passing the torch, or helping in any way they can, drawing from their life experiences.
